GWO Fire Awareness

The aim of this course is to give the participants the basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to prevent fires, conduct initial and appropriate judgement when evaluating a fire, manage evacuation of personnel to ensure all are safely evacuated and accounted for in the event of an unmanageable fire and, if it is judged to be safe, to efficiently extinguish an initial fire by using basic hand held firefighting equipment.

GWO First Aid

The aim of this BST Module is to administer safe and effective First Aid in the wind turbine industry/ WTG environment, in accordance with GWO First Aid training through theoretical and practical training.

GWO Working At Height

Delegates required to work at height in the course of their duties using a range of equipment and techniques including rope access, work positioning and fall arrest specific to Wind Turbine Technicians. The aims of this course shall give the participants the necessary basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to use basic PPE and perform safe work at heights and safe and comprehensive basic rescue from heights in a remote wind turbine environment in accordance with BST Module Working at Heights.

GWO Manual Handling

The aim of this Module is to encourage positive Manual Handling behaviour and train delegates ability to perform Manual Handling tasks in a safe manner in the wind turbine industry/environment. The training shall be designed to improve and refresh Delegates’ awareness through both theoretical knowledge and practical training. The main focus shall be on practicing correct techniques.

Working At Height Training

We can help duty holders and managers meet the requirements of The Work at Height Regulations 2005. All our work at height courses can be tailored to meet specific site requirements and can often be delivered at our client’s site.

IRATA Training

We provide IRATA training from level 1 to level 3 at our IRATA accredited training centre based in Okehampton, Devon. Whether you’re new to the ropes or not, we offer all of the tools you’ll need to progress as a rope access technician.

First Aid Training

Whether you want to learn first aid from basic everyday skills to coping with emergencies, or if you need to comply with health & safety requirements at work then RIG Medical courses will meet all your needs. For more specialist medical training for teams such as specialist industrial emergency rescue teams, RIG Medical provide bespoke First Person on Scene courses which incorporates training scenarios that are found within simulated hazardous environments that teams may be required to work in.

Confined Space Training

We can help duty holders and managers meet the requirements of the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997. All our courses can be offered with City and Guilds accreditation and can be tailored to meet specific site requirements. Our Confined Space Access and Rescue (CONSAR) courses are designed to meet the requirements of the mines and extraction industries.
